Are you ready this morning to do the work to get your mind wrapped in truth, God's truth,

to help you look at this day and process the experiences you have in this day in a way that brings honor and glory to him,

but also enables you to live in a way that brings you ultimate satisfaction because you know in your heart of hearts that you are

pleasing the Lord your God.

That's what the mourning mindset is about and I hope you are ready to dig in.

It requires some work.

It requires some concentration and some diligence in applying the truths that you learn.

So take what you learn or what you receive in these morning mindset additions of the podcast

and apply them to yourself diligently as you go throughout the day. Yesterday I introduced Psalms chapter

one and was looking at the things that this blessed man or woman, this righteous person, does the things

they love, the things they desire and delight in.

And I was pointing out that because you are a new creation in Christ that is

describing you regardless of whether you feel like it's true or not. So the things

like not walking in the Council of the Wicked or not sitting in the seat of

scoffers or standing in the way of sinners.

Those are descriptions of the righteous persons bent toward receiving good

counsel, doing good things, speaking in a righteous way. And if you do a heart check,

if you do a gut check, you will see

that in your heart of hearts you long to be those things.

And perhaps you've been stuck in patterns of sin or in habits of thinking that have

perpetuated that kind of behavior that's sinful and in a wicked way or scoffing.

But it doesn't have to remain that way because you have a partner, a divine partner,
