Welcome back to the quote of the day show I'm your host Sean Crox and a

Sean Crox and calm it's throwback Thursday and we are turning back that

clock all the way to episode number 1104 in our feature speaker Dishana

Barbara today Dishana is going to tell her story about what she had to go

through the obstacle she had to navigate the obstacle she had to surmount in

order to become the first soldier to witness USA Dishana Barbara she's coming up

to everyone at UMUC for inviting me today to speak

One things for sure as I was sitting in the very seats that you all are sitting

in just two years ago and knowing that I received my master's degree from

such an incredible university it is overwhelming to know that I'm able to

come back here and be your commencement speaker in that very seat two

years ago I was two weeks away from competing for a dream that I spent seven

years preparing for and not knowing in that moment what the future holds so

today I'll be telling you all a very short story about Dishana a young dream

chaser and where it all began in the summer 2009 I was 19 years old working a

summer position at target between my freshman and sophomore year at Undergraduate

School I was working in the women's clothing department and I noticed a lady

staring at me from across the aisle I figured she probably had a few screws
