They're wrongfully convicted.

0:34.2

And this week's episode will keep you on the toes of who's the man who is wrongfully

0:39.7

convicted until the very end. Yeah, this one in its own little way is kind of a two for one. We

0:46.0

already had one like that. And this one is sort of like that as well. And you'll clearly see what we

0:51.2

mean as we go. But I guess without further ado, we got a lot to cover. So let's

0:56.0

jump right in. So it was early morning around 1 a.m. on August 15th, 1982 in Chicago. The town had

It was just one of those feel-good town movements.

1:22.1

Now, that day had been super hot and the night was considerably warm as well. This event that we're going to talk about

So picture kids climbing in and out, teenagers, they're not supposed to be there. The pool is closed,

2:00.4

but they're going in and out.

2:01.9

Well, that night, Marilyn Green, who was 18, and her fiancé, Jerry Hillard, who was 19, were sitting near the top of the bleachers.

2:12.2

And beside them, now according to eyewitnesses, of course, were two males. Witnesses claimed that one of these

2:19.4

males stood up and shot Marilyn in the neck and Jerry in the head. Then Marilyn was able to get down

2:27.3

from the bleachers. She reached the front of the pool. And at that moment, there was a police car
