Hi everybody, it's Joe Lample, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe Gardner

Show.

Today it's a new conversation with returning guest Robert Pavlik, who joined me for a

talk about gardening products, specifically around some of those that you just don't

need.

Robert is the author of four gardening books, including his newest release, Soil Science

for Gardners.

And something else about Robert that makes him a great candidate for being a guest

on this show, he also has a background in science, specifically chemistry and biochemistry.

So he offers some valuable insights when it comes to determining whether or not a product

is necessary or even beneficial in the garden, is examined from the science side of things.

Robert and I had an interesting conversation a few weeks back on some house plant care

myth busting ideas, and I have to say it was a very popular episode.

So I had no doubt that a talk on what to buy and what to avoid would be appreciated by

the Joe Gardner audience as well.

You might know by now, I'm a gadget geek, I've wasted plenty of money through the years

buying products that look like something I couldn't live without, only to find out

that it didn't work as advertised or just wasn't worthwhile.
