Summary

Debbie Sykes, a 26 year old woman, doesn't show up for work as usual. Later that day, her body is found in a field. A 911 call under a fake name leads to an investigation that was botched from the start. Bullied witnesses, members of the KKK, and shoddy lineup pictures were just some of the reasons why Darryl Hunt was convicted of the murder, just to have the conviction overturned, and be tried again... and convicted again. 1:23.0	not one, but two separate murders, only to have them both retried and overturned.
1:32.5	This caused a huge uproar in North Carolina during this time.
