My guest today is Hetty Brits.

Hetty is from South Africa, although she lives in Tennessee now.

She is an author, speaker, and founder of a ministry that equips parents to discover

and to nurture the unique personalities of each of their children, as well as understanding

their own personality and parenting styles.

But in our conversation, Heddy's going to share a personal story.

She's going to recount how she and her husband

survived a home invasion, and we'll talk about why a good God might allow us to go through suffering

and how we can come to know him, not as just a God who stands far off during the difficult times,

but one who stands right next to us and takes her hand and leads us through the worst storms.

I want to let you know that Heddy is going to share her story of being raped and of God's

supernatural presence during that horrible event. And so if you're recovering from sexual abuse

or another form of trauma and your heart or memories are still really tender, you might want
