We are mid-February, which is about the time most people have given up on their new year's resolution of decluttering,

but not you, right? That's why you showed up today. And today's show is all about giving you

some extra motivation if you're feeling a little tired and not really wanting to declutter.

Sometimes one of my favorite ways to get motivated is by reading stats and studies. Now, true story, I almost

failed my statistics course in college, but these statistics I'll be sharing won't put you to

sleep like my stats professor did. Cool. I pulled all of this data from multiple resources online.

Many of these stats have been published by research journalists,

colleges, accredited programs, places like Harvard, Cornell, just to name a few.

but some of these are pretty epic and shocking. So let's go. Number one, the average U.S. household has

300,000 things in it. Holy canoli. This is like baby gear, toys, forks, and furniture,

feels overwhelming to me. So maybe it's a good thing I didn't know when I started my declutter
