Ome, Akhandam Satchedanandam, Avang Manasagoccharam,

Aitmanam Akhelah Dharam, Ashraya Bhaesthya Siddhye.

I take refuge in the self, the indivisible, the existence consciousness, bliss absolute,

beyond the reach of words and thought, and the substratum of all for the attainment of my cherished desire.

So we are studying the Vedantasara, which is basically an introduction to the whole system of Vedantah.

And let us not forget the purpose.

The purpose is to give a solid foundation to entry into the Upanishans, which are the foundational texts of Vedantanth, the root texts of Vedantanth, which we will take up.

So today especially you will see where a bunch of definitions will come our way.

And it's really good to know, have a clear idea of at least in the Vedantic terms,

what is a mind, what is intellect, what's a subtle body, what's a causal body?

These things are so precisely defined.

What's the ultimate reality?

What is God?

Don't look curious.

qualified by Maya, is called God.
