This is hell. Many here in Chicago may remember the intense police surveillance that led up to and happened during the 2012 NATO protests

And I'm betting a lot of our listeners here in Chicago

attended those protests. In fact I'm positive because I was tweeting directly

to protesters during those protests for whatever reason the

local NBC affiliate was airing raw footage of the protest on one of its channels. I never saw them do that

prior to the protest or after.

So I was tweeting, describing what I was seeing in the raw footage,

which kept showing police positions.

And out of the sight of many protesters, police assembling prior to rushing the crowd. Like I said, it wasn't. testers police

Like I said, it was an intense time.

And Chicago police and then Mayor Rame Emanuel

were freaking out about what they saw as a frightening Occupy movement.

And who knows what those evil masterminds

that Occupy can come up with.

Well, maybe what we should have been considering

is not what Occupy was dreaming up.
