| 0:43.0 | Today's going to respond to an audience question about how to find your zone of genius. |
| 0:50.0 | This is a very short clip. So I'm going to talk a little bit. So I make my eight minute minimum, finding your zone of genius. |
| 0:56.0 | If you ever read about or study people who do things really, really well, who are really great at what they do, a lot of them have been doing it since childhood. |
| 1:06.0 | It was that thing that they really love to do. Even for me, you know, when I was a child, I loved to sell stuff. |
| 1:14.0 | I was an entrepreneur. I saw my dad selling stuff at the swap meet. And I was just interested in like trading baseball cards and comic books and selling things at the swap meet. |
| 1:25.0 | That's what beat myself when I was in college before CD burners came out like before actually not before CD burners came out before CD burners are really common. |
| 1:36.0 | I discovered some unreleased two-pock music on the internet. And I bought it and I got like a month later three or four CDs would never heard before two-pock music. |
| 1:49.0 | And you know what I did? I sold it on campus. I had a friend who had a friend who had, oh, I don't get in trouble for this, but I had a friend who had a friend who had a CD burner. |
| 2:00.0 | And we literally dropped albums on campus. And I would go to the dorms and I would, I would preview the music in the dorms. And then I'd be like, oh, this album's coming out next Tuesday. |
| 2:11.0 | And I would give them the number to my beeper and they would beat me the next Tuesday. And I would go to the dorms with a box of of CDs. And I would walk out with a box full of money. |
| 2:21.0 | So entrepreneurship is just something that I've always loved. And I can remember being a senior in college. And my mom and I went to go see this kind of a counselor guy who just kind of gave you. |
| 2:34.0 | I don't know information and tips about college and such. And I remember him asking me what I wanted to do. And I was like, I don't know. I think I want to be in business. And I think I want to like be on the radio. |
| 2:50.0 | And I was when I was younger, I used to listen to the radio intently. I used to listen to dish jockeys intently for some reason. I used to like record them and stuff. It was weird. At a school dance. I was always the DJ. Right. |
| 3:04.0 | And my mom, I remember at that meeting, I remember her staying to the guy. He's really good at making money. |
| 3:10.0 | And fast forward 20 years. And that's what I do. I have an entrepreneurial business. And I'm essentially on a new form of radio podcasting. |
| 3:21.0 | And so this love for what I do goes back to my childhood. And so if you're wondering like, what is that thing? What is your zone of genius? What is your purpose? What is that thing you're supposed to do? |
| 3:34.0 | So just just go back to when you were a child and think about what are those things that you really love to do and go do more of that. |
