0:26.6	All right, dear brothers and sisters, we are continuing to work through the book of Galatians
0:31.6	today. So we'll be focusing on Galatians 3, 1 through 6, as we just allow the book to unfold in front of us and ask the
0:39.9	lord to speak to us and to give us ears to hear as we do so so on that note let me actually just
0:45.0	pray for us real quick and then we will work our way towards getting into this text so lord
0:51.3	jesus we do ask for that right now We ask that you open our eyes that we may
0:55.5	behold wondrous things out of your law. We acknowledge that you are the teacher and we ask that
1:00.6	you speak to us now, that you give us ears to hear. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
1:07.1	Okay. So before we get into Galatians 3, 1 through 6, let's just do a little bit of a recap now.
1:11.7	I mean, I know we are multiple episodes into this journey through Galatians at this point.
1:17.0	And while I have no intention of reteaching all the ground that we've already covered,
1:21.4	I do think it could be helpful just to calibrate us and remind us with kind of the big themes that we have encountered so far as we've
1:27.8	worked through the book. So, of course, the book of Galatians, the letter of Galatians, is written
1:34.8	to the churches in the region of Galatia. And what's been happening here in these churches
1:39.9	is that we've seen, as we've gone through the book, that false teaching has begun creeping in.
1:45.0	There have been some individuals who have come in after the time at which the church was planted,
1:50.0	and after they had heard the true gospel from Paul, and these teachers are preaching a different gospel,
1:57.6	a distortion of the gospel, and Paul is writing to address that false teaching.
2:04.2	So some of the kind of, what the Galatians were tempted to do was to, like I said, abandon the true
