Well, the German bishop said, hey, we voted for women deacons, deaconesses, in holy orders.

We had the synodality.

We voted.

That is the consensus.

Now, Pope Leo needs to give us women deacons.

We need to ordain women deacons.

That's the logic of the German bishops.

And I guess today's question for the podcast is, is that the logic of the synod on synodality?

You hold synods.

You meet together. You dialogue. You hold synods, you meet together, you dialogue, you wear your laminated lanyard, you sit at the round table, you have nuns, Lutherans, bishops, priests, laypeople, everyone's dialoguing. Everyone has a styrofoam cup with

some coffee and cream in it. And you discuss these things and then you write little reports

and then people vote and they do synodality. And then the bishop say, well, we have our results time for the

Pope to deliver. What's interesting about this, and I'll read you some of the details in a little

bit, is it's putting the onus back on the Pope. Pope Francis invented the Senate on Synodality. Pope Leo has inherited it, and it seems

Pope Leo has inherited it with great joy and enthusiasm. From day one, he's like, we need

synodality. This is awesome. This is great. It's the best. And now the Senate on Synodality is issuing reports coming to consensus with things

that are contrary to Catholic faith. And they're putting it on the Pope's desk and saying,

hey, it's time for you to get on board with the Senate of Synodality. And this is going, of course,

to lead to controversy. Here's what one of the

bishops in Germany, this is Bishop Franz Jung. He had an interview recently, and he said,

we cast a clear vote in Rome in favor of women's ordination to the diaconate.
