I actually got in trouble this week, last week, a period of time recently.

Because I refer to myself as the History Harlot and have done so for years,

because this woman claimed I was stealing a sex worker slur,

as if it isn't just a slur against women, which I am.

But anyway, if you've been listening to me for a long time, then you know this story,

if you're new or new-ish.

When I started making digital content to go along, digital content, social media stuff

to go along with the podcast. Because I was out there talking

history while also having you fill some set of fun bags, some people, mainly men, some women,

took umbrage with the fact that I exist. So they were very unhappy that I was, you know,

teaching history online while also happening to have an ample bosom that I was not deliberately trying to cover up. So because I wasn't

severely modest, like, if I'm recording in the summer or if I'm in my pajamas in my house sometimes,

because, you know, I started

off recording in COVID, you know. So like sometimes you'd be wearing stuff that was more, you know,

seasonally appropriate. It actually got to the point that when I started wearing jumpers in winter,

people were messaging me to make sure that I wasn't being offended by trolls.

Because people would consistently call me like a whore and a hussy and things.

Like, four years.

So I ended up calling myself the history harlot,

because I'm like, fine, you want to call me a harlot?

Call me a harlot, but I'm the history harlot because I am a slut for history.
