And this is John.

And welcome to episode 13 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Ooh.

Scary episode 13.

But today we'll be interviewing John Langen.

He's a new, very exciting new horror writer and so we thought it would be really good to have him on for episode 13.

Nicely appropriate. It wasn't it wasn't by accident or anything. Yeah I was about to say like we didn't plan it like that but you can just assume anything we do. We didn't plan it like that because we don't plan anything. But it worked out really nicely and John Langan is a really fun interesting guy.

So we're just really happy he could join us.

He's the author of his first novel, House of Windows, is out from Night Shade Books and he had a recent collection

called Mr Gaunt and other uneasy encounters. And actually he's a professor at Sunni

Newpaltz and he organized a conference years ago called the

Fantastic Genoist Conference, which was actually the first place that John and I

really hung out. You know, we had met at the, you know, the science fiction writers of America has a reception in New York City every year and so we had actually met there and sparks were flying and everything but, you know, the first time we really hung out was at this fantastic genres conference.

So we really have to thank John Langen or blame him, depending on your point of view,

for John and I knowing each other and for Geek's guy to the galaxy and then hang around after the interview where John and I will be talking about scary scary stuff
