Today on the podcast we have USC Alumni, Katie Johnson. Katie plays on the Mexico Women's National Team. We chat with her about why she chose to play for Mexico's National team over the USWNT. We talk about her successful season with the Chicago Red Stars with her goal to help them get to the finals. We also enjoyed hearing from Katie the changes in the league she hopes to see that we have yet to hear a player speak of!

0:50.2	Yeah. And then when I scored, it was so quiet in the stadium. And I was like, did I score?
0:57.1	It was so weird. So yeah, it was a good, good time. Definitely my best time in Portland yet.
1:04.6	That's awesome. And what has this even been like as a whole? What do you think has made you guys
1:09.6	so successful like so far? I mean, this has been a really long season. And just I think a lot
1:19.6	both physically and mentally. But I think we have just like stuck together from the beginning.
1:27.3	And we're just like constantly like we're going to win. We're going to we're going to grind through
1:31.2	it. We're going to stick together like we're resilient. Like there's so many girls in this team
1:35.5	who have pushed through injuries or just like pushed through like their own personal battles.
1:40.0	And I think it makes just like a respect and a common bond with all of us. So I think that's been
1:46.0	like the biggest thing for us. I love that. That's fantastic. I'm so important as a team.
1:53.6	So what is your mindset going into the big weekend? Um, win. Do you know what it takes?
2:02.4	Yeah, exactly. We are going to do whatever it takes. We're going to leave it here. Um, I mean,
2:07.2	yeah, it's definitely win and stay healthy and stick together and just keep grinding through it.
2:12.2	We've already made it this far all the way to the end. So I think we're just like let's get one
