I’m here as a witness: It IS possible to tame your email inbox and seemingly never-ending list of tasks.
In fact, thanks to today’s guests, April and Eric Perry, I’m at “Inbox Zero” right now. (Something I 100% thought was NOT possible!)
They taught me something invaluable: The reason most of us fail at getting to Inbox Zero every day is because to get there, you can’t just focus on your emails.
Huh?! Here’s what I mean . . .
It’s not just about getting to zero, it’s about changing your approach—so that you have the right tools and procedures in place to be able to get to ZERO every day.
Which means—establishing a COMMAND CENTRAL for your business, AND your life.
April and Eric have the freedom to do more with their lives, including spend a lot more time with their family, because of their own idea command central. You can create one too.
This episode is to help get you out of the weeds and give you the FREEDOM to work on what you do best! Imagine what you could do if you had the head space to not worry about getting through your emails, but instead working on the projects that really matter for your business.
Most people live with piles everywhere—digital or physical. (I use to be a Post-It junkie!) A command central will help you churn through your “to do” list so you’re able to focus your mind on what you do best.
Set up your command central and get to Inbox Zero with me now!!

1:06.0 | And she's created webinars to sell her programs and has done incredibly well. Like the girl is a go-getter. And she actually has built her business with her husband Eric. |
1:17.0 | So the two together are really a dynamic duo. They make working together and being partners in life look really good like it actually can happen. |
1:27.0 | They also have four kids and they are busy, busy, busy parents. So I love their story in general in terms of being able to create this business together. |
1:37.0 | And their whole goal was to find time to be with their kids. So they dramatically changed their business in order to have that freedom. |
1:45.0 | So April and Eric Perry are a great couple just to learn more about. I'll link to their website in my show notes so you can kind of hear their story. 2:01.0 | But the reason why April reached out to me is once you wanted to share some of her great successes because as a course creator, that's what you always want to hear, right? |
2:11.0 | How people are using your course and getting amazing success throughout what they're doing. But she also offered to come to my house to help me organize my inbox. |
2:23.0 | Now she lives in Southern California where I live and so it was just a kind of long drive down the highway to come to my place. I thought that was incredibly generous. |

2:41.0 | Now I'll let her explain to you what a command central is. But what was so interesting with my time that I had with April was that forever we didn't work on my inbox. |
2:52.0 | It was hours before we even got over to Gmail, which I thought was so incredibly weird. But when she started to explain to me what a command central really is all about and how important that is to get to inbox zero, it all made sense. |
3:07.0 | And I thought April, I've got to have you on the show. I need you to talk to my audience about what this looks like just to kind of start planning the seed that it really is possible to tame the inbox, |
3:20.0 | which I actually never believed it was possible. So I am happy to say I am at inbox zero every single day. That's kind of crazy, right? |
3:30.0 | And in addition to that, I now have a better system for a sauna, a better system for ever note and just a better system in general for the errands I have to run, the things I need to do with Cade, the discussions I need to have with friends or family members or things just to kind of keep everything running and humming on all cylinders. |
3:49.0 | She's going to talk about that as well because as entrepreneurs, we all know that business and the personal stuff can easily collide when you work from home, especially. |
