Welcome back to Evolution of a Snake. I'm Zach. And I am Madeline. And today we are doing our fabulous,

highly requested 2026 Grammy's recap review. We're going to be talking about the fashions. We're

going to be talking about the performances. We're going to be talking about the awards, the hits,

the misses, the snubs, the flops. But before we do any of that, it's February. And you know what that

You know what? I liked it. I liked it. I was sitting there on my couch. I was clapping. I was

cheering. I'm predisposed to like the Grammys. I build it up in my head. I make a big deal out of it.

I get the food ready. I'm sitting on the couch. I got the glass of champagne. I make it into a

whole thing. So I'm going to like the Grammys pretty much no matter what.

If it's really that bad, I'll just get drunk ultimately. So it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.

But I really liked this Grammys. I thought that they did a much better job, like something that I

noticed that was kind of iffy last year, but was actually really well executed this year.

Last year, their best new artist, Mega Medley, was kind of janky.

This year, I thought they kind of figured out how to make it as optimal as possible.

It helps that, like, most of the nominees are pretty good.

So last year, it was Benson Boone, and he couldn't get his outfit off.

That's true. But also, two of their best new artist nominees didn't even participate in the medley, did they? Pink Pony Club and Sabrina, those were like standalone performances. So they didn't do like a mega mashup. Everyone's involved. They did like for the flops. But because there were two divas, they had to give them their moment. This year, I would say best new artists, like, it was a pretty competitive field. I would say that, like, there's varying degrees of success in that category, of course, but they were all pretty much, I would say, on like, level playing field. I think Olivia Dean was the obvious favorite, but, like, in terms of having them perform, it made sense for all of them to perform together.

Yeah. And I really like the way that they did the flow of it. Well, we'll talk about this when we get into the performances, but I thought they did a good job. I liked the in memoriam

section. I liked the tributes. I liked pretty much all of the performances. I thought were

pretty engaging and well executed.

I thought they were good. There were some sneaks. There were some sneaks. But we'll get
