Hello everybody welcome back to the primal potential

podcast i am Elizabeth Benton and my heart is racing a little bit as I hit record

this is completely impromptu I had another episode titled and I had bullet points that I was going to talk about and as I sat down literally with my laptop on my lap and my mic plugged in I was like you

know what I'm gonna go in a different direction this was not going to be a

podcast this is actually going to be probably a social media post and I

decided it should be both. And the first thing I want to say

is I am not a marriage expert, this is not a marriage podcast. However, there is no doubt that our relationships impact our health.

Our relationships impact our health because of our mindset and our mental health, but also they influence our choices. I don't

know about you but for me when I've gone through really hard things in

relationships it's often felt harder in those seasons to take great care of myself.

And on the flip side, when I have felt more supported in my relationships

and healthier in my relationships, it's translated to feeling healthier overall

and making better choices overall. And for that reason I think it's important to talk about this,

but I just want to wave the flag so everybody says like this is not a marriage podcast, I am not a marriage expert I am a marriage

novice I am I am not an expert I do not have a perfect relationship but this has been on my mind because this week is my wedding anniversary.

My husband, Chris and I, uh, got married in June, June 19th, gosh, isn't that terrible that I have to think about that?

I don't even really know what the date is.

I'm just not a date person, he's not a date person, so no big big deal but I know it's this week in fact we are going on our

first ever overnight without the kids since they've been born.

I've never been away from the twins,

aside from them being in the NICU for over three months.

And the only time I've ever been away from Roman
