Tell us a little bit about your work history, where you come from, and what you've built over your

career. You know, I started out in the 70s, late 70s, really focused on getting a job in a man's world,

looking at the landscape, wanting to be someone who climbed the corporate ladder and visioned myself

running a company, whatever that really meant. I didn't necessarily know, but I wanted to be in a

leadership role. I went to university and when I graduated, I went to work at Hula Packard as an analyst.

And I went to Hula Packard because there was a book written about the organization called

In Search of Excellence by Tom Peters. It was a really inspirational book at the time for me,

and it really talked about a much more diverse workplace at Hula Packard in technology, obviously,

in the 70s and how they looked at their workforce in terms of men and women and diversity across

ethnic backgrounds. And so it just seemed like a good match for me. And I worked very hard after

university to get into Hula Packard and I did get a job. And it was not easy, but I did. It was

very competitive. That's great. And once I got into the corporate environment, then I realized

really what it entailed. And it entails a lot of politics. It does not, the real world does not

mean that when you do a great job and perform and deliver results that you automatically get promoted,

even when you're working really hard to do that. And so it made me really take a step back and
