It's just about balance.

Striving for balance, you're being considered a balance, working to live, not living to work,

making sure that you're making time for the things you have personal passion for, but

that you also give yourself the grace to know that balance is not a real thing.

On today's show, I sit down with the president of distribution at the Walt Disney Company,

who I also happen to be married to.

Dave Hollis is the only guy that I have ever interviewed on the podcast, but I felt like

he had so much wisdom to share.

It was worth it, even if he's not a lady.

Dave and I are discussing work by balance.

Why raising your hand at work is always the right way to go, and he takes us through what

it means to operate a team at his level.

My reasoning, as you well know, for wanting to do Deus was, I feel like so many things that

exist within this space for women in business really speak down to women or patronizing

or they bring women on the show and then only talk to them about work life balance.

So I didn't want to have a bunch of guys.

I feel like guys get all kinds of representation on business podcasts, but if you happen to

be married to an executive that is as smart and successful and attractive as you are,

it feels like just a disservice to humankind to not do an interview with you.
