That's a first responder in border Texas

battling the second largest wildfire in the state's history.

It's currently raging out of control across half a million acres in the state.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a disaster declaration for 60 counties in response to the Smokhouse Creek Fire,

which is tearing through the Texas panhandle, threatening homes, businesses, and farms.

CNN's Lucy Kaffinoff has more from Amarillo, Texas.

The air here is still full of smoke, burns your eyes it burns your mouth and

throat residents are being encouraged to stay inside to keep their pets

inside this is also one of the areas that folks who can get here from neighboring counties are being

encouraged to come here for evacuation.

Since the fire began Monday afternoon it is averaged burning across 150 football fields every minute and it's zero percent contained.

The president's son Hunter Biden is on Capitol Hill today, this time for closed-door depositions with GOP-led House committees.

Hunter Biden said in a statement he never involved his father in his business

dealings and that his testimony today should put an end to the Republican

impeachment inquiry into his father.
