Out of control wildfires are tearing through the Texas panhandle.

The Smokaus Creek Fire is the largest

wildfire scorching the region. According to Texas AM Forest Service, it has

burned more than 500,000 acres of land since igniting Monday afternoon, and is now the second largest

wildfire in the state's history. The fire is still completely uncontained. While the

extent of the damage is still being assessed, the flames are threatening homes, farms, and

businesses and forcing residents to evacuate. The flames jumped into communities in Oklahoma
