In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms in office.

Vice President Kamala Harris has praised the work of President Joe Biden in her first

public address since he announced he was dropping out of the 2024 race. And I am firsthand witness that every day our President Joe Biden fights for the American people

and we are deeply, deeply grateful for his service to our nation.

Since Biden endorsed his vice president to replace him as the Democratic nominee,

tens of millions of dollars of donations and over 500 endorsements have poured in for Harris.

But she's not officially the Democratic nominee yet.

The party's delegates will select a nominee either in a virtual roll call early next month

or at the convention in Chicago on August 19th.

She could be the first black woman and first Asian American to lead a ticket of a

major political party. Who would be Harris's running mate? Some names floating

around are Pennsylvania

Governor Joshapiro, Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir, and North Carolina

Governor Roy Cooper, all of whom have endorsed her for president. And people

familiar with the process say they're among the 10 Democrats who've been asked to submit information to the Harris campaign about their finances, family histories, and other personal details.

Bashir and Cooper were on MSMBC this morning, where the

Kentucky and said he was open to being her running mate.

Well, I think if somebody calls you on that, what you do is is at least listen.

And Governor Cooper sidestepped the Vip question, saying the focus should be on her right now.

I want to make sure that Kamala Harris wins.

I'm going to work for her all over this country and do what I can to make sure we stop Donald Trump.
