She is a graduate of Auburn University with her master's degree in 1992, has been a practicing

speech language pathologist since that time.

She's provided services for the adult population in many different environments,

home health, sniff, inpatient rehab, acute care,

university clinic as a clinical instructor and outpatient.

She is currently in private practice in Macon, Georgia,

and her company is Swallowing Specialist of Central Georgia,

and she is partnered with a gastronterologist Dr Raymond Bedgood.

She went into private practice after 13 years

in the acute care setting.

Her passion is the adult population,

all manners of communication and swallowing disorders,

and she wants to provide EPP without the restrictions of productivity or

administrative red tape. Seven years ago her father was losing his battle with lung

cancer when a tumor compromised the recurrent laryngeal nerve taking his

swallow and voice. She cared for him during that time

learning what quality of life truly truly is and that is when her passion for

management of headneck and oral cancer began. She is married with two children, a

whyner, and a one-eyed cat.
