hope you're having a great day today we are going to just shoot real real

straight today we're going to talk about radical responsibility

and I'm going to share with you a super personal story about my marriage and

not even a struggle in my marriage,

but where I got slapped around in terms of radical responsibility

by a very, very good girlfriend of mine.

And it just goes to show why it's so important that we have people in our lives who challenge us,

especially when it's uncomfortable.

This is such an important character trait to develop,

and it's probably one of the hardest ones,

this idea of radical responsibility,

because it's uncomfortable to say that was on me.

Yes, there were circumstances that contributed, but ultimately, this is on me.

My choices are on me. Doesn't matter what my spouse brings home. My choices are on me. Doesn't

matter what my kid was eating. My choices are on me. Doesn't matter what was at the office.

Doesn't matter that it was so-and-so's birthday party.

I am responsible for my results and I'm going to stop putting the blame and putting the responsibility on other people.

So here's what happened.

I've told parts of this story before, but the like short version back story is that my husband was on vacation

with a bunch of his guy friends for a friend's bachelor party and I think they were gone for five or six days and while I was

here with the kids one of our twins one of our 18 months old twins got pretty
