Is that right? Yeah, we'll just ask Joe anything, second hour.

The number 8883-18788, 7, 884, first hour we have a special guest with us today and we'll talk about

oh this, the risk of hyper-spiritualizing this. I think this is probably a spiritual risk for most Christians rather than kind of taking up our

crosses and doing the hard work of discipleship to you know take the rough edges off

become more like Jesus all that we tend to spiritualize our problems

and we'll talk about what that is and maybe how to avoid it

our guest and we are delighted to welcome him is Father Mark Doherty, President and Rector of St. Patrick's Seminary in the

Archdiocese of San Francisco. Father Doherty, he's been everywhere. He's been everywhere.

You know that song I've been Everywhere everywhere man? That's about him.

Father Do already grew up in West Africa, Paris, San Francisco, California.

As a young man, he entered formation with the Jesuits, but it ended up being ordained for the

Archdiocese of San Francisco among other things he's been a high school

teacher here in California an intern at the Holy See's Mission in the United Nations

an English teacher in East Timor, a parish priest, and since 2020 he has been the leader

at St. Patrick's Seminary in that job.

His primary occupation now is forming men for the priesthood.
