It was a very busy time where I was starting to get all these opportunities that I was so happy and grateful and excited for

and ping-ponging around the globe

and coming back to New York and doing all this stuff,

but I was at my most miserable for sure

for all kinds of reasons. I couldn't keep one person happy. I felt like everybody was not getting enough from me. I felt like I wasn't satisfying the people at the studio with their expectations of me being there.

I felt like the teachers at the studio wanted more, more experiences or more opportunities that I felt like I couldn't give and a lot of it was just in my own head.

back when I was invited to this converted crunch gym in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. It had been turned into what was called a Strala Yoga Studio, St.R. A L A Strala Yoga Studio, and this was the first of what became a very popular new yoga platform

that a visionary by the name of Tara Styles started with the goal of making yoga more accessible to regular

people.

Back then in the sort of mid 2000s, yoga classes in New York City were 20, 25, even 30 dollars.

And Tara wanted to make yoga donation, which she did for a while,

and then keep it at a very low cost,

so that more people could be exposed to this practice that she ventured into from

dance career and she also wanted to teach it in a way that wasn't intimidating.

So Strala grew into this huge platform that now includes thousands of teachers which she calls guides. She

offers around the clock online classes and it's being practiced in more than 100 countries around the globe.

Tara has become a yoga thought leader in the process.
