| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the perfume room. My center of the day today is one you hear me talk about all the time. It is Dipti Gorphion. And you know that fabulous song, just throw it in the bag? You know, it's like, just throw it in the bag. Don't worry, that's the only time you'll ever hear me try and sing that song on this podcast. But that is what Orphion is for me. It is my throw it in the bag scent. I went to a wedding in Palm Springs this past weekend to celebrate the union of very close friends. And due to a last minute flight change, |
| 0:39.9 | I had to pack my bag in 15 minutes in order to make the flight. And these are the moments |
| 0:45.3 | when you truly need a throw-it-in-the-bag scent, a scent when not blessed with the luxury |
| 0:50.6 | of time or detail to think about matching looks with perfumes, the scent that you |
| 0:54.9 | can reach for and know you will always be content with your choice. For me, that's always Orphium. |
| 1:01.7 | It's versatile, good for all weather, always smells lovely, always makes me happy. And I will say, |
| 1:08.4 | only because it was literally sitting right next to my travel size of Orphion, |
| 1:12.2 | so it was an easy ad, I did pack a little roller ball of the scent Poppy from brittle oil, |
| 1:17.1 | which I do think I've also talked about before. But it's a creamy, bright, tropical, yellow |
| 1:22.0 | and white floral, definitely a scent where if you used to wear Michael Corr's the perfume or the Mark Jacobs perfume, despite it not being a tuberous or Gardinia scent, similar feel, similar vibe. |
| 1:34.4 | If you like that, you would like Poppy. |
| 1:36.6 | Definitely felt very Palm Springs, and it was also a surprisingly great layering combo. |
| 1:42.7 | Also, this happened to be a wedding where I did scent consults |
| 1:47.0 | for the bride and the groom. So the bride wanted something that felt skin scent-esque and effortless, |
| 1:53.3 | airy, flowy, ethereal, but in an elevated and sort of bridal-unph kind of way. Something that |
| 2:00.7 | packed a bit more |
| 2:01.4 | punched than any scents in her everyday rotation, which includes scents like glossier |
| 2:05.5 | U and wood sage and sea salt. |
| 2:08.1 | Ultimately, she went with ex-Nahilo, Lustin Paradise, which is a fresh floral, pink |
| 2:12.3 | pepper, musky scent, and the groom wanted something sort of smooth and handsome that matched the vibe of like a white linen suit, a destination wedding, Palm Springs, and he went with Creed Silver Mountain Water. |
| 2:25.5 | Needless to say, they both looked and smelled amazing. |
| 2:29.7 | Anyway, my question to all of you is, what is your throw-it-in-the-bag scent? |
