that has been eating away at the gray matter in my brain for the last

year or so, and I want to tell you about the application to my life. I'm doing this really as a form

of personal catharsis to try to express some things that I have been thinking about, and also as

something of a mea cupa for the paucity of podcasts recently. We begin with a tweet or a Zete,

whatever you want to call it. And this starts with it from an X thread where we're talking about

the different amount of wealth in the United States and in Europe and a number of different

places. And so the original map is a map showing how large houses are in the United States

as compared to Europe.

And the original map is color-coded.

Details aren't important.

But that's what started the conversation is basically showing the actual difference in size of the average house in the United States as from the average house in Europe.

You know, for example, in my home state, the average size house in Florida is 1,960 square feet.

And the biggest average house size in Europe is in France, which is 1,206 square feet.

If you went to one of the larger states in the United States, a state like, let's see, that's Utah, 2,800 square feet is the average size house in Utah, 2,800 square feet.

Compare that with some well-known countries in Europe, where you have Spain, 144, Portugal, 902. The United Kingdom has an average house site of 818 square feet. So basically a third, actually less than a third of many of the United States houses and half of even the smallest of the United States. So houses are twice as big in the United States.

And so it's interesting to reflect on the median size of houses. And so flow drops in, and then
