Charlize Mutton was a nine-year-old girl, living on the Gold Coast in Australia with her doting

grandparents.

Charlies went to visit her mother and stepdad for the Christmas school break, but only weeks

later, on January 11, 2022, she was no longer alive.

Her stepfather, having decided to end her young life and then executed his plan,

with all his moments captured on CCTV, allowing the police to quickly close in.

But even the most experienced police officer was forever affected by what they would find.

This is Charlize's story.

in what detectives have

described as an unimaginable and egregious act.
