I am internally grateful for everyone who shares the podcast to get

these stories heard by a wider audience. So thank you. October 1997, Bega, a safe and quiet town in

country in New South Wales, Australia. Two teenage girls are having a camp out with friends when one wanted to go for a walk

to a nearby town, to visit an ex-boyfriend to rekindle their relationship. Nicole and Lauren said

goodbye to their friends and set off into the night. That would be the last time the girls would be

ever seen alive again. Only a few hours later, a massive search party would

come together, and six weeks later, the girls' bodies were found, murdered less than two

miles from their home. The bigger schoolgirl murders, as this story would become infamously known

as, remains two of the most notorious murders in Australia to this day.

This is Lauren and Nicole's story.
