0:40.3	as all of our listeners are aware one of my favorite subjects for stories is the paranormal,
0:45.0	which involves a wide number of subjects from UFOs to ghost portals, strange places,
0:51.0	and cryptids like Bigfoot and goat man to unexplained events and unsolved
0:55.1	mysteries. For arm-chair adventure these subjects are hard to top but there's a
1:00.0	growing number of people who have been taking the next step, actually seeking adventure and
1:04.5	thrills, and traveling to the sites where paranormal events or strange sightings and occurrences
1:09.1	have taken place, and these few hardy souls are called legend trippers.
1:14.0	Now, I just call them hardy souls,
1:16.5	but there are many different types of legend trippers.
1:19.0	Some legend trippers are adolescents with healthy curiosities
1:22.0	seeking a right of passage into maturity by experiencing
1:25.0	what many would consider frightening visits to scary places in their locales.
1:28.8	Every town has its legends from the haunted vacant house on Elm Street to the place where someone, it is rumored, died in unexpected and gruesome death.
1:38.0	Then there's the new legend trippers, families, parents and kids. Just out for a day of adventure with maybe a little history thrown in,
1:46.0	or trying to make a boring road trip a little more exciting and educational.
1:50.0	What I'm covering today is a mix of places in the US, mostly family rated, that have a little history or story attached, just to give you some ideas.
