We just needed a few of those little pieces of the puzzle, and we were able to do that with the new technologies and DNA.

Nearly three decades later, cold case detectives say they finally have the woman responsible

for killing Marlene Warren at her Wellington home. The witnesses at the scene said that

the clown just turned around, walked back to the car, got into the white Chrysler LeBaron,

and just drove away,

very calmly.

Deputies say Memorial Day weekend 1990. Keen, dressed as a clown, knocked at Warren's door,

carrying flowers and balloons, and then shot her. At the time, Keene worked for Warren's husband,

Michael, and it was rumored the two were having an affair. The two married some 10 years later. The detectives during the initial investigation were able to determine that the same balloons and

flower arrangement was purchased at a public's, which was about six-tenths to a mile away

from where Sheila Keene's apartment was at the time.

Keene was a potential suspect, but detectives and prosecutors agree they didn't have enough evidence.

They knew that if they got it wrong, if they didn't have the best case possible, that a potential defendant could go free forever.

Until 27 years later, when new DNA technology technology pinned keen to the bizarre murder.
