My name is Sarah Turnie and this is Voices for Justice.

In the last episode, we discussed the progression of Alyssa's case from 2006 to 2008.

We explored a confession from a man already serving a life sentence for murder that the

investigators were not confident in.

We also meet Detective Stewart-Summer Shoe and William Anderson and explore their vast

efforts to gather as much information as possible by Alyssa and her disappearance.

In this episode, we're going to pick up right where we left off with the December 11th

2008 meeting.

Like I mentioned in episode 8, I received a call from Detective Anderson stating that there

had been an update in the case.

I left you with me driving down the freeway full of hope for that meeting.

When I arrived, the detectives were unable to meet with me immediately.

In my boyfriend and I, we didn't their office for about 30 minutes before they called me back.

After making this podcast, I'm pretty sure that in every interview I'd ever given about

Alyssa, I described this meeting as only lasting for a few minutes.

But I requested the records.
