My name is Sarah Turney and this is Voices for Justice.

In the last episode, we discussed the progression of Alyssa's case from the years 2002 to 2006,

including a lengthy call in which my father answers quite a few pressing questions.

The beginning of the police investigation, and we also explore what I was up to during

these years.

In this episode, we will be exploring the story of a man who confessed to killing Alyssa,

the continuation of the investigation into Alyssa's disappearance, as well as the assignment

of two detectives from the Phoenix Police Department that will detrimentally change this case

forever.

This episode is going to feel a lot like episode 5, and that we are going over the timeline

of this investigation.

The information may feel choppy and confusing, but that's because it is.

And it's important to stay in chronological order to better understand how this investigation

really unfolded.

Like I mentioned in the last episode, the investigation into what happened to Alyssa
