My name is Sarah Turnie and this is Voices for Justice.

Last time on Voices for Justice, I left you with me leaving the police station after

being told some pretty shocking things about my father and learning that they were executing

search warrants on our home right at that moment.

In this episode, we will be going over the rest of the day from my point of view, but more

so I will be focusing on the official documents outlining the Phoenix Police Department's reasoning

for searching our home, the execution of the search warrant, my father's reaction to

it all, and the insane things they found in our home.

But before I go into my account of leaving the police station and going home, I want to

read what happened before I did.

As we discussed in previous episodes, the police had been conducting a full investigation

in an attempt to find out what happened to Alyssa.

They had taken our trash for analysis, conducted surprise visits to my father, and called

in a ton of people for questioning.

But with my father refusing to hand over the original runaway note, as well as the video

surveillance from the day Alyssa disappeared, the police filed an affidavit in order to obtain
