Right now the ten birds that make up the presidential flock, which is the group of birds from which

the president picks his pardon, are getting the star treatment at a DC hotel.

They checked in as VITs or very important turkeys over the weekend.

And this morning, they're being treated to spa services

like feather fluffing, haircuts, and massages

to help them primp for the cameras. Mr. Trump will symbolically spare one of them from headlining his Thanksgiving feast.

The Nine Runner Ups will return to Goblers Rest,

a special facility at Virginia Tech to live out their days doing whatever it is

that turkeys do. In medical news it could be the breakthrough kids with severe

peanut allergies and their parents

have been waiting for.

According to the New England Journal of Medicine, a trial drug successfully helped

two-thirds of participants, most of whom were between four and

17 years old, eat the equivalent of two peanuts a day without reacting. The

treatment involved taking a pill filled with peanut powder daily in increasing doses for nine months.

Doctors are encouraged by the findings but are quick to say that this is not a cure, nor will it allow those with peanut allergies to eat whatever they want.
