And we begin with a 12-year-old boy scout putting his survival skills to the test on a trail

in Hawaii.

David King was trying to earn his hiking badge when he and his mom came across a couple

who had taken a wrong turn, got lost, had no food or water, their cell phone was dead,

and night was fast approaching.

The make matters worse, their 100-pound pooch Smoky had injured his paws and couldn't

walk.

That's when David's training kicked in.

He grabbed a fat tree branch, broke it in half, and used t-shirts to create a makeshift

stretcher.

After a few tries to get Smoky to stay on, the massive mutt finally obliged and let the

force some carry him three miles to the trailhead.

The biggest takeaway for the scout, David said, it felt good to use what he learned and

great to help someone in need.

One of the most famous arenas in the United States is getting a new name.

The Staples Center in Los Angeles, which is home to the Lakers, Clippers, and Kings,

will soon be rebranded as the Crypto.com arena, and what's believed to be one of the most

expensive naming deals in history.

According to the LA Times, the Singapore-based company paid upwards of $700 million to advertise

its logo inside and outside the building.
