Okay, Dreamers, this is the fourth and final part of our series, examining the possible wrongful

conviction of death row inmate Kevin Cooper.

We left off last time with Judge Fletcher's skating breakdown of all the shady things that went on within the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department to make Kevin Cooper the murderer of the Ryan's and Christopher Hughes,

and to keep him the murderer, seemingly at any and all costs. Picking up in Fletcher's report from where we left off,

and we're almost done, I know it's taking a long time,

but this is really important information.

You know, it kind of feels like it feels like the

Sheriff's Department never thought anyone would examine every single

aspect of their investigation into this case that someone would go through it with a fine-tooth comb and puzzle piece together everything they did in order to expose what essentially was and is a conspiracy to frame Kevin Cooper for four murders

and one attempted murder that he did not commit. So Judge Fletcher addressed those who concurred with Kevin's denial and their

understanding or lack of understanding of why he dissented. He wrote that

those in concurrence not only misunderstood his dissent, but they also make

incorrect and misleading statements about the evidence in the trial record, and they mistakenly

state and believe that the evidence of Kevin Cooper's guilt at trial was quote

unquote overwhelming.

Fletcher said, the concurrence argues that I am merely rehashing evidence and issues that have long been known to everyone,

and that I have improperly marshaled the facts in the light that is most favorable to Kevin Cooper. In part this is a legal argument

contending that Kevin has not satisfied the standard for a second habeas petition.

In part this is an argument almost invariably made in long-running criminal cases

contending that so many courts have gone over this case so many times that we can be

confident that justice has been done. On the contrary, there are two important

claims based on newly available evidence in Kevin's current application for habeas corpus.
