Welcome to another mother runner. This is Sarah in Portland.

And this is Dimity in Denver. Back over from two state lines, I cross Doming and South Dakota, Sarah, for my tropical not spring break.

Didn't quite turn out as maybe you had imagined in your head. It did not.

The optimistic side of me was hoping for, you know, 55, 60, 65 degrees, which it had been

earlier.

We went to, well, quick story, I won't drag this out too much, but I really wanted to see a beach.

I really, really needed some salt air, some sand under my feet, a little umbrella in my drink.

So I spent about two hours one night, you know, on different various websites, trying to kind of figure out how we could make it all work.

And I kind of came up with somewhat of a plan, hoping that my husband would sign off on it financially.

And he came in, he's like, I can't be away that week.

I have to be at work.

He's, you know, he's an editor for different magazines, and the magazine was going to press,

meaning he had to check every page before it went.

So he had to be present.

So I was like, well, I am not staying here for a week with my seven and 10 year old children

while my husband is working crazy hours.

Like that is just a recipe for insanity in my mind.

And I was on a run with a friend of mine, Laurel, and I was telling her about the situation.
