She writes a great column on economics. Not vexing because Catherine is vexing. Far from it.

She's one of the great columnists on economics. But it's vexing a little bit because we recorded this before,

right before the Silicon Valley crash.

But Catherine was nice enough to come back and talk about that.

You'll hear that at the beginning.

And then we're going to go to our conversation about a whole range of economic issues.

What's the best way into this?

Should we talk about what happened yesterday, the big banks putting billions in the help bill level banks or other banks?

I mean, what's been interesting is that the federal government took a bunch of extraordinary

measures last weekend, in theory, to restore confidence and stop the panic and all of that.

And that's happened. It's restored confidence and stopped the panic, all of that. And that's happened.

Well.

So we're fine.

I mean, the depositors at Silicon Valley Bank and signature bank are totally fine.

Well, they're fine now.

They're bailed out.

Yeah.

We don't call the B word.
