Hey everybody. We got a best of today, Chris Rock. As you know, I do 44 podcasts a year.

And every once in a while, Peter and I take a week off just so we can prepare in more depth for the next one, which I'm not sure what that's,

what that's going to be. Now, I'm repeating this one with with rock for the second time. Haven't

done that before, but Chris just did a live Netflix concert, which I thought was great.

Chris works really hard and it shows. Now, one of the reasons I say this and one of the reasons I'm repeating this is that in our conversation, we talk about a pivotal role that I played in his work ethic while we were both at S&L.

Now, I feel really cheap doing that because it's a true story, he tells, but it can't possibly

account for his incredible work ethic and his success and his brilliance.

Now, on other matters, Fox has been in the news.

You know, I wrote this book 20 years ago, lies and the lying liars who tell them a fair

and balanced look at the right.

Now, Fox sued me at Bill O'Reilly's insistence, not because I accused them of being lying

liars, but for copyright infringement.

Fair and balance was their slogan at the time.

Now, again, this was at Bill O'Reilly's insistence. They wanted to

stop the publication of the book because Fair and Balance was in the title. And what O'Reilly

didn't understand is that satire is protected speech, even when the object of the satire

doesn't get it.

So they literally,

they had,

just went to court.

Fox literally got laughed out of court.

And the publicity made lies and the lying liars an instant number one bestseller. The thing is, at that time,
