You can't beat that, right? Well, hey, today's episode is a bit of a celebration for me, and I'm hoping

cool milestone. 15 years ago, as I'm recording this podcast, 15 years ago this week, I left my last

real job. Now, if we're going to get technical about it, I was actually fired from my last real job.

I share the story a little bit in the Silent Sales Machine book, but just to recap, I know some

of you've heard this before, so I'm not going to dive real deep into it. He's like,

who cares? It was 15 years ago. But there's a good lesson here for you. Hopefully this is

encouraging to you.

If you envision yourself someday making the leap, going from earning money for someone else in a traditional job, to building your own business, well, I did it 15 years ago.

And arguably, I think I could make a really good case that it's a lot easier to make

the leap now than it was back then.

Fifteen years ago, I had a good job I was working for Microsoft.

Well, actually a Microsoft partner.

I was selling Microsoft software.
