The Democrats are set up to rule the country, and the Republicans are set up to be critics

of the way the Democrats are ruling the country.

And that's a sort of a fact of life that we have to deal with now.

Look, I do foreign policy.

It's not my job to put together a new Republican party.

As an interested newspaper reader and the registered Republican, I want to know what is the

Republican plan to become a ruling party, a rival ruling party, and not just a critic

of the ruling party that we have.

Once again, we have an incredibly exciting episode to close out the month of February

with.

We have brought Mike Duran, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, back to the podcast.

When we recorded with him back in fall 2019, it was one of my favorite episodes.

Mike is a person who's always spoken with Soggar and I about our podcasting plans, the

idea behind the realignment, and his focus on foreign policy, especially as that foreign

policy picture is shifted during the Trump administration, made him the perfect guest

to speak with.

But also I have exciting news that I want all of you all to follow up on Mike and I are

actually launching a podcast next week called counterbalance.

It is going to focus strictly on foreign policy.

It's going to get into these debates about China, the Middle East, the Biden administration.
