I mean look at how fast Americans under the age of 40 fled standard Facebook.

These things are very fragile in design guys and so there's a cultural lever here that

we could make a huge impact.

Once it became political it was a problem because then the media took over this discussion

and the problem with the media on this topic is that they are extreme outliers in terms

of their relationship to these tools.

So if you're in the media, I mean it is at the center of your existence and so the premise

of all of the political fighting back and forth, it was all being done by the one or two

percent of the population for which Twitter for example was just crucial to their existence.

Zagra and I have been so pumped to do this episode for a really long time.

Count Newport is a professor at Georgetown University and he is also the author of a

word about email reimagining work in an age of communication overload.

He's also written a bunch of books.

They've been really influential on how Zagra and I approach the workplace so good to
