I hear the tension and you teach me how to say that sentence. I want to be sure I say it just the right way.

Folks, it's not a set of seven magic words. It's the acknowledgement that I'm a sinner and that I can't

fix that. I can't be good enough or clean enough or wholly enough. I need help and God's provided help and it's in a person and

his name is Jesus. And I have to come to Jesus and say forgive me of my sins

but before I can be forgiven, I have to forgive everybody else.

We started a theme on Wednesday night that I want to continue talking about things that amplify our prayers that add volume to our prayers. If you've been to church twice in your life

you know prayer has something to do with your spiritual life and your relationship

with God. We made a commitment some years ago to become a congregation that would

learn about prayer and to commit ourselves to prayer.

It's far beyond just what happens during a worship service or a formal ending or beginning.

It has to do with your relationship with God. I doubt whether you can have a relationship with God unless you're a person who prays.

So the notion to say, well, you know, I just don't pray is a line you want to remove from your imagination in your vocabulary.

Wednesday night I suggested a couple of things that add momentum to your prayer,

volume to your prayers.
