Through our

acknowledgement of Jesus is Lord in our life,

our spirit is made alive to God,

but the conflict with that old carnal nature persists.

So Peter, near the end of his life, he says,

listen, we're aliens and strangers here.

There's something better awaiting us.

There's something better awaiting us. You want to guard your heart, you don't want to get

too comfortable, you want your agendas, your objectives, your life goals, your life habits,

your patterns, what you do with your time, your treasure, and your talent should be

different from those people who don't know the Lord.
