This is the second part of my series on optimizing your blog for Google PageSpeed Insights.

In part one, I gave a quick breakdown of the rise of PageSpeed Insights and how Google is now

keying in on PageSpeed to determine rankings.

In addition, I walked you through how to use Pingdom's Sight Speed tool, which is another

vital tool you need to know how to use.

In this episode, I'm going to let you in on some pretty amazing statistics that'll make you

want to stop everything that you're doing right now and begin working on improving your

page speed insight score.

There was another big reason that I didn't mention in the last episode that caused me to

immerse myself and figuring out how to improve page speed.

That reason was that one of my old blogs had had a traffic explosion over the past six months.

The traffic began to spike upwards soon after Google added page speed as a component

of their algorithm during the July 2018 PageSpeed algorithm update.

I should explain in more detail what I mean by one of my old blogs.

As the years have gone by, I've gotten better

at building high traffic blogs. That includes creating better content and buying aged domains

with high domain authority. Back in 2013, when I launched my first blog, I didn't know about

age domains.
