Hello, this is Paul McKenna, and welcome to the positivity podcast.

My objective is to interview the most interesting people in the world,

and in the next 30 minutes, get insights and even discover how it is that they do what they do,

mindset, and certainly what keeps them positive. My guest today is an actor, best known to audiences

around the world for his 12 years in one of the biggest TV shows of all time, Dallas. He's also

appeared in The Bold and the Beautiful and The Man from Atlantis and starred in the award-winning West End production of Dallas. He's also appeared in The Bold and the Beautiful and the man from

What makes you happy? For 30 years, I've owned a ranch. I was pretty much happiest there.

There's a stream and a river that runs through it and I never took a walk along there that I wasn't smiling, listening to the water.

Maybe it can be that simple.

It doesn't have to be some great philosophical aha moment.

It's just what touches your life or your heart?

Every time I took a walk down by the river, I would just smile while I was walking in it

was because I was hearing running water, and then I had to put in parentheses, not from the tap. I would

up my wine intake. I have a modest, but a pretty nice collection of Bordeaux wines that I had

been parceling out thinking that I might live, you know, into my 80s. But if I got the six

months, I would get a work screw, go into the cellar with a couple

of loaves of bread and just take care of business.
