So the topic is two extremely dangerous attitudes about work.

That's right. Two extremely dangerous because they're at opposite ends of a spectrum.

Yeah, what do you mean by that? The first dangerous attitude about work is the fatalistic

attitude that work is drudgery it's hard it's not meant to be fulfilling that's

just the way it is you should accept that. The other extreme is that work is everything and it's the

only source of fulfillment and it defines who I am and I have transferred from one

extreme to the other and lived through both of them, but they're

both equally dangerous and they leave us in misery.

And I would say that almost everyone who's listening to this, I know that I find myself in one or both of these

camps at some point in my career I would argue that almost everyone listening to

this would be able to identify with one or the other if not.

Absolutely and and we probably grew up with one or the other or a

combination of the two and I want people to avoid either extreme so often in

life that's the thing we go to one extreme or the other and it leaves us

equally miserable.
